One down,years to go.

How did my 1st day go?It was not as what I expected. I shook hands with the staff. Still,there are some who show their faces,you know,those OLDER ones.Urgh.
Truthfully I almost suffered from a heart attack before reaching the ward. I was so anxious,nervous,my heart was at my throat and I was hyperventilating! OMG! The only time I had that feeling was when I collected my ITE cert last month! Haha. It was sad separating from the girls,but this is the reality of life.
Alhamdullilah,truth be told,everything went smoothly. My preceptor was the one I met when my daddy was admitted into the same ward. Sad that she was on afternoon so another SEN and SN orientated me. I've not met with my managers as yet. Will be meeting them later in the week though.
I'm glad I am getting used to the ward. There's more to learn,more to take not and many challenges to come. Trying to get used to the routine is hard,but I have to make the first step and be as proactive,open my mouth more as much as I can. Plus,I can't let myself be used by the much older nurses.
Note to self : Be yourself,show what you are capable of and you can go through the obstacles thrown at you =]
